Hi there my name is Patrick Wetherbee, I am a freelance Writer, Director, DP (director of photography) and Editor; currently working out of the Cleveland area. My passion for filmmaking grew from watching countless horror movies with my dad as a young boy.
From 1999-2001 I attend Jackson Area Career Center's "Commercial Art and Media" program. Under the teachings of Mr. Dennis Turner and Mr. Mike Coy, I learned the basics of video production and digital media. I had a great time at the career center. It was a huge step up from wandering around in the yard with my Grandpa's bulky VHS camcorder. I allso got the chance to work on my first Feature film ("Next Victim" ) as a production assistant! Since my early beginnings at The Career Center I have had the opportunity work on several TV commercials, web videos, music videos, corporate marketing videos and movies. I have also had the pleasure of working with some great people and companies:
I worked under DP Karin Pelloni (Authentic Entertainment) as a camera operator on TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras.
I worked as an AC (assistant camera) and Gaffer for D.A. Oldis on an All State Commercial and a shoot for Fox Sports Detroit.
One of the projects I'm most proud of is the "Veterans Service Officer Program" DVD. I worked with John A.West and Don Godek from the Vietnam Veterans of America to produce a video that informs Veterans of their VA Benefits and how a service officer can help them obtain those benefits. On this production I primarily worked as a DP, Editor and directed some scenes.
